I’m actually dealing with lots of family emergencies right now (terminal illness in the family, a legal suit against my brother and father on top of all the usual family dysfunctions; I won’t get too into it but it’s been a very shitty year) and so I’m really quite stressed tbh. I’ve broken down and sobbed at least 3 times this year which may seem like a small amount, but what I mean is the body wracking, painful, gulping sort of sobbing that just saps out all of your energy and makes you unable to breathe. That kind of sobbing. This is probably a more intense reply than you expected from me, but I actually really value all of you who follow me and whom I consider my friends. So, I thought I’d open up a bit, because if anything, tumblr has always been a good source of escape and I’ve been neglecting it lately (for the reasons above) and I’d like to change that.

It’s such a massive topic that I don’t know where to begin - but coming on the heels of yesterday’s post about publishing & fanfiction (which was specifically about fanfic that gets the ‘serial numbers filed off’ before publishing), I felt an obligation to write a follow-up in the light of Amazon’s announcement.

Ares and Athena are endgame right? I am from Greece and it is amazing reading this story!! I must say though that I hate the fact that Ares is sleeping with Aphrodite. I want to ask why is he doing it? I mean has he feelings for Aphrodite or he just sleeps with her, because she is a warm body and he is constantly rejected by Athena? I can’t really say about endgame… because well greek + tragedy tends to be a mix. I will be going more into the Aphrodite/Ares relationship in the next chapter (trying to work diligently on it guys!!!), but they do have a connection. They both have daddy issues and bond over their hostile relationship with Zeus. Anyways, stay tuned!

But there was no “stefan” doppelganger when the vampire curse was created by Esther. It was Klaus and Elijah who was in love with whom we thought was the original Petrova (Tatia)…. so it’s not quite a parallel…. And i thought the doppelganger was the result of the hybrid spell on klaus that prevented him from accessing his werewolf side….

Hmmm. That’ll be interesting to see Bonnie and the other ghosts interact on the other side. I was surprised that they “killed” her off since she is the ONLY witch on the show (a regular anyways). Wonder how her magic will work as a ghost (if it works at all???)

I thought the klaroline was kinda whack because it seems sorta skeevy of Klaus to invite Caroline to New Orleans and yet not tell her about being baby daddy to Hayley’s vampire/werebaby… like all the flowery things he said when taken into context just seemed sketch to me. What would he have done if she did say yes and shows up in New Orleans and then finds out that Hayley is PREGGERS. Yeah… definite mood killer. So while the scene in its isolation was nice, when put into the context of the whole TVD canon and current storyline Klaus seem a bit like a jerk imo. I’d be hella pissed if a guy romances me and invites me to come away with him only to get to the destination and find out he has a secret baby with another girl. Also I recall Caroline not liking Hayley very much soooo yeah. Salt on wounds.

The mebekah was cute when she was saving his life and the kiss was done really well imo. Although I think it was also a little lame that Matt only wants to have fun on the road trip together and then peace out after. At least that’s how I interpret his whole I-need-to-keep-my-love-life-in-a-low-vampire-zone, but then says “whatever happens on the road, stays on the road.” I dunno, it just sets up Rebekah to be a fling and I think she deserves more than that. And it makes her seem desperate (they ALWAYS make Rebekah desperate though so who I am kidding) when she’s so happy and content to be just a summer fuck buddy. But then again, I know Rebekah has pulled some serious crap that has put Matt in harm’s way so she needs to put in some extra effort to win him over. BUT STILL! I have issues with how they are writing the romances on this show and how they often depict the girls as indecisive and desperate okay? I want some more girl power!

Overall, I enjoyed some parts of the finale, but the show has gone quite downhill since its earlier seasons. I am undecided about if I want to continue watching. I may just out of habit, but the show surely isn’t quality anymore and I’ve lost my love for it.
